Can't find operating system on startup |

The computer seems to check the floppy drive then an error message says it cannot find the operating system. I have tried restoring system defaults in BIOS but to no avail. It does occasionaly startup, maybe once every 20 attempts. I have done a virus scan but found nothing.

Sounds like it might be time to do a complete backup.
Most harddrive manufacturers websites offer tools to check for harddrive
failure.
