I'm trying to clean my computer hard drive a litte bit. When I surf the internet, web sites leave files on my computer. I've got a cleaner that works pretty good but it misses folders in the "Web browser cache" It cleans the contents of the folders but leaves the empty folders. I'd like to delete these folders manually but can't find them. Also there's a folder called "Temporary Internet Folder" and it's got files in it that the cleaner missed. I know at least some of these's are not system or critical files because they're from websites I've visited. Some of the folder names are "Bargan Buddy" and "Fun web products."
I'd like to know more about what happens when I visit a web site. I know web sites leave cookies but apparently they leave more than that. I'd like to know where these files are left, what a web browser cache and temporary internet files are and how to manually clean my computer after visiting web sites.
