Canon F 30 printer compenent trasfer error

I am attempting to install the updated mutlipass program dated 03 of 04. I
am getting a component transfer error. The component is program files and
the file group is program executable files access denied.

I have also attempted the same through the original CD and get the same
results.

I removed any mention from the control panel and removed the original
program with no change.

I am using Windows xp home on a Gateway system. This printer worked fine
previously on this machine
