CDrom Problems

message from =?Utf-8?B?U3RlcGhlbg==?= on 8 Jun 2004
My sisters computer had problems starting, and when i fixed it and used the system repair program, and followed the directions issued, the computer booted up without a problem.
then i tried to play a game, and the cdrom does not want to function properly.
ATAPI CD-RW 16/12/40x
When i tried to update the driver, it told me that the wizard could not find a better match for this driver.
any help would be well, helpful

Hi,

Go to start > run > regedit
and browse to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
delete the upper filter and lower filter values.

HTH
