Boot.ini

message from Mike on 9 Jun 2004
I have a Compaq computer tha t came with a recovery partition. I removed the
recovery partition and when I start my system it still ask me if I want to
start in Recovery console or Windows XP. What All should I remove from
Boot.ini file?

[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home
Edition" /fastdetect

I kinda have an idea but don't want to screw anything up. Thanks for any
advice.

Why would it be asking you anything? Your timeout is 0. Recovery =
Partitions is nothing to do with Windows. It's also nothing to do with =
Recovery Console (which is part of Windows).
