Hi Everyone,
My aunt has a virus and her old mcafee won't get rid of it but she is not
sure which one it is. Is there a cd i can make or a program w/ updates that
I can put on cd, take it over there, and remove the problem?

i have that mcafee stinger.exe i downloaded ..hope that's good enough

Okay - so you need to cleanup your Aunt's machine. You need a CD with all
the updates and you might as well update everything else while you are
there, eh? Well, I have a few (quite a few) suggestions for you.
The first part of this email will tell you how to secure your/your aunt's PC
and keep it up to date, virus/worm/trojan/scumware free and running tip-top.
It includes instructions on how to update, antivirus software(many free),
anti-spyware software (most free), firewall information (many free), popup
stoppers (okay - just one, but it's free), and other information you may
find valuable.
The last half of this post gives you all the updates you would need to
download to burn to CD and bring to your Aunt to get her machine 100% up to
date for Windows XP (Home or Professional, does not matter - but I assume
"English" in the links.)
