400 MB s missing from C Drive |

While trying to install Service Pack 1a on WIN XP Pro i received a message that the installation could not be completed due lack of free space.I had downloaded the Service Pack to my F Drive which had over 1gigs of free space, my C Drive had before the start of the installation 645 MB of free space. After the message my C Drive has only 212 MB of free space.I would appreciate any help in restoring the missin MB s from my C Rrive

maybe you have a load of system restore points,
right mouse button on "C" of my computer, properties, on general run disk clean up, then click on more options, under system restore click clean up then you should be able to delete all but the most recent restore point, should be able to free up space that way.
