Trouble installing firewire card

I'm having trouble installing a PCI IEEE 1394 Adaptor card in windows xp,
get the message New hardware found, followed by new hardware installation
wizard, I follow instructions, then get the message " There was a problem
installing this hardware IEE 1394 Controller an error occurred during the
installation of the device The data is invalid. This is the second card
i have tried to instal. Any ideas please?

I have two suggestions:

Check with the manufacturer (web site?)

Do you already have of had another adapter card?

Sorry this is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try
annexcafe.general.user2user newsgroup. or the Windowsxp newsgroup.
