PLEASE HELP URGENTLY

message from Margaret Brady on 19 May 2004
I have a ms access 2000 db with 15000 records..
When I try to find a certain record an error message
appears saying "invalid arguement", within this form there
is a notes box (txt box) for extra notes - the notes for
this record are gone and all that appears in this txt box
is "#error"
I have tried the following solutions:
Compacting and repairing which does not follow through,
exporting to a txt file and importing the txt file back to
database - also exporting and importing to an excel file
as well which also does not work.

It sounds like there are corruption(s) in your database.

and follow the link on the above to the "Symptoms" article.

I receive those error when our network "hiccups," when the front end loses the backend because the network drives go into a "sleep" mode. Is your database split? If so it might not be able to find the backend, or your backend need to be reconfigured by re-linking your tables. If not, definitely sounds like some type of corruption.

I have copied the data from the corrupt field, deleted
that field and re created that field again and added back
in the data... A long way around but it worked -
