ODBC Connection |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?Q2h1Y2s=?= on 3 Jun 2004 |
I have an Access 2000 mdb using an ODBC connection to a MSDE db. I am able to create the ODBC connection on 3 out of 5 client PCs. On the 2 others I get a SQL Server 11004 error refering to [TCP/IP sockets]. All PCs are Windows 2000. The only difference is the second window of the ODBC Wizard under the Client Configuration button, the PC's that are working have the Dynamically Determine port checked under TCP/IP and the 2 that are not working do not even have that option but have an IP address in the Port number field?
Why do I not have the Dynamically Determine port option for TCP/IP on these 2 PC's?? Is this my problem?
Thanks
Chuck
