Newby Needs Help |
| message from Leo Janysek on 8 May 2004 |
The facility where I work has about 500 "pattern keys" that between them
will open every lock on the facility. We then have about 125 key rings made
up of copies of the pattern keys. Our policies state that I must have a
printed form for each key ring, and that each key ring can have no more than
15 keys. I have created a table with the pattern key info (key number/lock
that it operates, in two columns), and a table for each key ring (ring
number/title of ring). Each printable form will have the ring number and
name near the top, and I have that working using the form wizard. What I
need is a combo box where I select the keys on a ring by key number, have
the lock that it operates appear in a box next to it. Each form needs to be
limited to 15 keys, and, if it has less than 15 keys, the rest of the boxes
need to be blank. If neccessary, I can fax a Word document that looks the
way I want to someone, or e-mail it, or even call someone from the computer
where I'm building the database so they can talk me through it. That
computer is not networked or on line. Please help me, and thanks in advance
to all who respond.
