Yes. Look up Linked Tables in Access Help.
In short, you will split the database into two piesces (FrontEnd and
BackEnd). Put the Backend on a server somewhere, and give a copy of the
Frontend to each user on their hard drive. The Fronte-end is linked to the
backend,
There is a nice utility for this called the database splitter under
Tools>>Database Utilties

Adding to Kevin's post,
You can have users access the database in its entirety on the network, however this breaks a strong access rule and will cause major issues. Split the database using the splitter, easy enough.

Of course. I was just wondering why you (in essence) posted "You can drive
on the wrong side of the street, but its not a good idea. Do what you were
already told and drive on the right side"
My concern is that the original poster might now be considering the two
options, instead of the correct one.
You can post whatever you like...I was jst curious as to why you would put
that out there if you knew it wasn't the best answer. <shrug>
