MS D-BASE STATES NEED REPAIR |
| message from Chris on 2 Jun 2004 |
When I open d-base it states that it needs to be repaired
but when I click yes it looks like it starts and then just
sits there and does nothing else. In the task manager it
still shows running. Does anyone have any suggestions on
how to get it repaired?

Make a copy of the MDB.
Let the Compact & Repair run for at least 3 or 5 minutes.
Otherwise try importing into a new MDB.
For more information on corruption including possible causes,
determining the offending PC, retrieving your data, links, official MS
KB articles and a list of vendors who state they can fix corruption
see the Microsoft Access Corruption FAQ at

Then try some of the other steps mentioned in the URL or send it off
to a repair service.
