Mail Merge Form and Data (Word XP) |
| message from Sharon on 6 May 2004 |
Hi,
I have created a mail merge in Word with a DataSource. I
would like to transfer this form and data to others
machine. But, went I transfered this informatio I get the
message that it is looking for the data and which, I
cannot even pull up the form because of this message(that
it is looking for the data source. I have also, put the
data in the data source on the user machine in the data
source folder and still cannot pull the information up.
What have I done wrong and how can I correct the issue.

Are you taking about a datasouce to ms-access?
Did you let word attached to the mdb file? (this is likely a bad idea). I
have some workarounds to this problem in my sample word merge.
You can give my word merge a try. It should work under most circumstances.
You can find it at:

Hi Albert,
Yes, I am talking about a datasource to ms-access.
So, basically what I am saying is, when I move the mail
merge letter and the datasource to another machine, I
can't open up the " Mail Merge Letter nor the Data that is
connected to the Datasource. How do you advise?
Thanks,
Sharon
