Look in Box is slow to show avaliable resources

When user are in in a Word or Excel document and they use
the look in box to open a new document, when clicking on
the drop down box.

It will take a while to open or even frezze when trying to
open a document from the avaliable resources, (eg: Network
drives)

The version of Office is XP and 2003
