Index error importing dbf from access.

My problem is trying to import or linking dbf files from access. Access asks
my for the index file I put the mdx file and I choose a field where I
suspect to be the index, but although I try with all of them it fails. How
can I link the dbf file without problems?. Can I use another database to see
the dbf files (not dbu)?.
