Finding a competent teacher |
| message from NeedHelp on 27 May 2004 |
Hi everyone.
I am in charge of hiring someone to teach a
basic/introductory/beginning level Access class that is
offered by a non-profit organization. It would help if I
can find someone who can also build and/or maintain
databases for the organization itself, as part of the job.
My problem is, I don't know anything about Access. Can
anyone give me some suggestions on what questions to ask
an applicant? What kind of experience/credentials to look
for? Someone told me I should have applicants build a
small and simple database from a written scenario - would
that be useful? If so, where might I find a suitable
scenario?
I will be grateful for all ideas, pointers, referrals to
more information, any help anyone can give me here. Thank
you all for your time and assistance!
Regards,
Cynthia

Kevin,
That sounds wonderful, especially since you're in the
Dallas area, too. I passed this on to the director, and
she will contact you via your email webpage.
Thank you!
