Data Access Page - data definition corruption

Upon opening Access 2002 SP1, I select "create blank data access page" from the menu on the far right. I receive the following error: The data defintion of this data access page has been corrupted and can't be repaired. You must recreate the page. Save has been disabled.
I have reinstalled Access and still receive the error. Again, this is from scratch just trying to create a DAP. Any ideas?
