Database corruption |
| message from =?Utf-8?B?TS4gR2FyY2lh?= on 3 Jun 2004 |
Good day,
Ever since our company moved to WinXP, our shared access databases are going crazy.
Applications that were working well on previous versions are getting corrupted just because a change is made or an update is done.
I want to know if there is a reported bug for WinXP or Access on this matter.
I'll appreciate your suggestions.
Best regards.

Probably OpLocks. Could be mismatched Jet DLL versions.
For more information on corruption including possible causes,
determining the offending PC, retrieving your data, links, official MS
KB articles and a list of vendors who state they can fix corruption
see the Microsoft Access Corruption FAQ at

Thank you for your insightful response.
My question now is: where do I disable the OPlocks? Do I install the patch on the server or the workstation?
I'm not the network administrator.
Thank you.
