Clearing old files from New File menu |
| message from bomantas on 26 May 2004 |
Does anyone know how to clear old, non-existent, files from appearing in
the "New File" menu on the right hand side of the screen when opening
up access or selecting to create a new file?

Use the Menu Options... / General tab and change the
Recently Used File List to zero. However, the old ones
probably will come back if you reset the above to a non-
zero number.
If you really want to clean them out, you need to edit the
Regitry. These are the "MRUx" (x can be from 1 to 9???)
entries in the registry branch.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Access\Settings
(for AXP on WXP). Should be similar branches if you use
different Office / Win combination.
