Calendar report

Does anyone know how I can go about generating a report
that looks like a calendar? My users have asked for a
report of employee absence that looks like a calendar to
replace manual input on their paper calendars. The
absence data is already in a table and the calendar should
only notate the data for the absent days. I will
appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thanks!
