Calculating Reports text fields |

I'm having difficulties doing something that should be simple, and it may be I just am missing something. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a report with various subreports on it, all with different queries as the control source. In the main report I would like to calculate the totals stored in a text box for each of the subreports.
I can do this fine unless one of the subreports does not show because the parameters for the query return no results for that particular query.

that way you can trap (avoid) the errors
