Access can't "see" a Paradox dbase??? |

I have a client who wishes to get their small 1000 record PARADOX
dbase, converted to a MS Access one.
I opened up MS Access 2000, and tried to File > Import the tables in
same...
But I get an error that says that the "Microsoft Jet Database engine
could not find the object members.db. Make sure object exists and you
have the proper spelling and path"
? Why would that be? I can certainly see the dbase sitting on my
desktop...
