When opening a database I get the followingh error
unrecognized database format. Unable to repair .
Used jetcom.exe but without success. Database size 500mb

Could the database have been created in (or converted to) a later
version of Access? A97 cannot read A2000 or later databases. Try
opening it in a later version if you have one installed.
It's also possible that the database is simply corrupted. It may or
may not be repairable. If you don't have a backup, a) change your
backup policy and b) contact Peter Miller at
