Can access 2000 read databases created in access 2002?

yes, in case it created in 2000 format

Access 2002 by default uses the same file format as Access 2000, so if that
default has not been changed, yes, Access 2000 will be able to access the
data. There could be some issues with an *application* created in Access
2002 if it uses features that were not supported in the earlier version.

If the default has been changed, and the MDB is in the new, optional Access
2002 format, then no, Access 2000 will not be able to open it.
