I needed to back up Access files onto my computer and
when I go to edit it won't let me save says it is a "read
only" file. Can anyone tell me how to change this so I
can continue to work within these files? Thank you!

In Windows Explorer right click on the file in question and
select properties. Uncheck the read only box.

1. Close Access.
2. Open the Windows Explorer.
3. Locate your mdb file.
4. Right-click, and choose Properties.
5. Uncheck the Read-Only box.
