Access 2000 versus 2002 problem

message from Bob Thomas on 2 Jun 2004
We have a master database being created in one location by
a person using Access 2000. He creates multiple versions
of this with slightly different file names for each person
needing to input data. This then gets sent to about six
developers who input their own records into their
version. Each of us then send ours back to him and he
merges these back into a master.

He seems to have problems with mine. I am using Access
2002 on my machine. Could this cause this problem? He is
getting error # -2147467259 Microsoft Jet Database Engine
raised this error because changes could cause duplicate
values in a key or index. It only seems to happen to me.

Bob, first thing to try would be to install Service Pack 8 for JET 4.

Go to support.microsoft.com, the Downloads section.
