message from =?Utf-8?B?RmFkaSBIYWRkYWQ=?= on 24 May 2004
Hi

I have newly installed MS office 2003 and used Access to create a new database useing a Template on my computer installed when I setup office.

When I try to open the new DB, I get "ActiveX component can't create object". Why?

What can I do about solveing this?

You probably need to register the DAO dll using regsvr32. For example
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\DAO\DAO350.DLL" or DAO360.DLL

Thank you

You were right about registering the DAO dll using regsvr32.
