Hi yea,
I think it may be because when you update a user you use the update
behaviour, when you insert a new customer you will need to use the insert
behaviour.

This is not a DW issue, it is a P.I.C.N.I.C. issue. Or is it one of those
1D-ten-T issues?

Depends what you are actually doing.
Update record is changing some values to an existing record
Insert record is adding a new record to the table.
Although your error message suggests that you are trying to update 2
or more tables simultaneously. The database doesn't know where to put
the data so I 'complains'.

Please don't put words like that in the subject line. Some of us are at work
and any co-worker can walk by, see that word, and be offended. If they
really want to press it, they can complain to someone higher.
Not only are they offended by the word, but I am, as well.

This is not a problem with Dreamweaver. You're database file does not have
the proper Windows permissions on it to allow updating. There are numerous
technotes on this error on the web. Type in "Operation must use an
updateable query" in google.
