getting rid of nested tables |
| message from Daniel Reyes on 25 Jul 2004 |
Hello,
in order to make my site w3c compliant, I must get rid of lots of nested
tables.
I have no idea how to manage this?
When converting layers to tables DW does not generate nested tables, but the
code seems to be a lot bigger than doing that with nested tables.
Perhaps I´m missing something?
Problem also is that I have nested repeat regions for example that are in
tables and so they generate nested tables...
Any help much appreciated,
Daniel

You'll probably have to clean up your code manually, perhaps use divs more
liberally. In what way are nested tables not compliant?

Nested tables are not a problem. Bad code and bad usages are, however.

question- why are you using the "convert layers to tables" ?
It's really only to make a page that will roughly work in version 3
browsers- it makes a mess of the pages.
