graphic resizing for 800x600 |
| message from DreamWvrWannabe on 20 Jul 2004 |
Hi, how do I make it so that my top tool bar or whatever is long enough to be
the full screen on 1024x768 resolution but when a user with 800x600 loads it
it just cuts it off from the right side and doesn't have scroll bars. I
understand the part about the 100% tables and stuff, but not the image.

Not sure I follow you exactly, but you can apply a style to a table
(cell) and give a bg image.

In which case the background image tiles, it doesn't stretch or truncate.

You're right, of course, but I thought that was what OP was really
asking.

If you can change width and height dimensions to an image...can you apply % dimensions to it instead of pixels? IE make the image percentage based so it expands and contracts?

I'm sure you didn't read that anywhere in the tutorials we've been sending
you to AHO, (what is your first name by the way :)
that is not correct info to be giving out.

You can't. That's not how HTML, Browsers, or images behave.
