file_save.js error

message from jd1368 on 24 Jul 2004
This error seems to be in the message boards once or twice already with no
help, but i thought i'd give it a shot seeing as though I'm desperate.
Dreamweaver runs fine, except, when i'm done working and i go to save my file i
get a file_save.js error and am forced to click ok. When i close and am asked
to save, dreamweaver closes. I have no extensions installed, and i am editing
the site from an ftp server. PLEASE HELP!

So, the local site is not on your local hard drive?

Here is a work-around: I just discovered that by minimizing the page I am
about
to save and then deleting the old page before "saving as" does the job.

I love Dreamweaver, but think that for the price we pay for it we should not
have
to work around bugs and glitches.
