closing a window code

Hi there. Yes I'm a designer and have relied on the behavior to open a new
window. Kind of like a pop-up(shudder). My question is what is the code to
close the window that is open? Like, if I put in a pretty Close Window button?

PS if there is a Open new browser window, why isn't there a Close Open Window
behavior?

i simply put 'javascript:this.close()' without the quotes into the link box for the Close Window button. this works quite well for me, although there might be a better way to do it.
