calling a dos command

Hi,

I have a DOS command that I would like to run, and then evaluate the
response and finally format the page based on the result of this response.

I know this is probably a tall order, and I don't need help with the actual
VB coding, but I do need to know if I can:

a) call the command (assume it's in the web root directory)
b) capture it's response
