basic question from "Dreamweaver challenged" user

message from neophyte weaver on 22 Jul 2004
I'm new to web design, and uploading websites. I made a simple 4 page website
and uploaded to a domain and it works. I want to upload the same site to a new
domain and keep the same site on the old domain at the same time. How do I go
about putting the same site to a new domain, what steps do I take to configure
the new FTP address, etc.? Please spell it out, I'm kinda stupid. P.S. I can't
write html code.
Thanks

1. Change the FTP settings to the new site. I.e. ftp server name and
password.

2. Just foward the other domain to point to your current site.

I would make a copy of the original site under a new name and reset the ftp
address etc as needed.

Alternatively, I would not make a copy of the local site - I would just
create a new site that points into the same local site but uses the other
domain as the remote site. Upload the same files to the new domain.

This way a single change would reflect in both domains.
