Hi, I'm just re-doing a site, and probably moving it from a hosting company to
an in house server. I have a couple forms on a couple pages, so my question
is, whats the best way to submit the form since I don't have the "formmail"
action

I would suggest that you download formmail and install it on your server. Am
I missing something? It seems pretty straight forward.

Can I install Formmail on a Windows server?

It's your own web server and you are running it on Windoze???

Now that takes courage.</sarcasm>

Sorry. I can't help you there. I have worked on many servers, but they were
all some variety of UNIX. I understand that there is some Windoze
replacement for formmail, but the person who I heard it from was, at the
time, cursing it, because a spammer had hacked it and used it to send out
4000 emails before his ISP cut him off.

Don't get me wrong. Things like that have happened with formmail, too. But
that was a long time ago and the newer versions of formmail have had those
holes patched and I have not heard of it since. I really can't speak for the
Windoze side, other than to say that the problem that I as referring to was
just over 6 months ago. Maybe he was using an old version of whatever mailer
package he was using. I just trust formmail because it is open source and
time tested and tempered.

NMSFormmail works fine on Windows servers.

It does indeed - I would suggest that if anyone has any questions about
configuring NMS FormMail (or indeed any of the other NMS programs) to
work on windows they should probably take it up on our mailling list at:

nms-cgi-support@lists.sourceforge.net

I would not recommend this script at all, it would appear to allow the
sending of arbitrary text to an unchecked recipient which would make it
an ideal tool for a spammer. This could lead, if exploited, to having
your website closed down by your ISP.

I do happen to know that the programs available at:

http://nms-cgi.sf.net/script.shtml

are secure against this kind of exploit as I had a hand in writing them
:-)
