Search problem |
| message from AlanShaw on 24 Jul 2004 |
I currently have a site that includes the search facility for the public to
find members in a given area. All this information is retrieved using variables
from a database.
I've now been asked if it is possible to search for the details of a member
company by it's name.
I can't see how to create this search when the web page does not actually
contain the member companies name, it contains the variable.
Any ideas?

Hi yea,
this extension may help you, ok it is a commercial extension but it is also
by Tom Much and fairly cheap. check out the tutorial and see if it is what
you will need.

I have used it before and found it very good.
if you want to learn to write the SQL for the query your self have a look at
http://www.w3schools.com/sql/sql_select.asp
