Why is it that I make a table at 100% width. I give that table 5
columns.....I define each column to have 20% width...I add a image or some
other content (NOT wider than the column would be at 20%) and it changes the
column width? Each column SHOWS 20%(76) and 20%(98) and 20%(153) etc. I
dont get it. I know Im missing something simple. Any suggestions??

I'm guessing you are in Layout Mode.
I won't use it so can't give advice on what's happening.
dw menu-->View-->Tables-->Regular or Standard Table editing.
