Re: Turning off "Put Dependent Files" |
| message from Sargent_Barley on 17 Jul 2004 |
Hi, guys, thanks! I still need a hand tho'.
What I mean is this.
By default, out of the box, when you selet a local HTML file and click Put, a
dialog box opens and asks whether you want to also put dependent files. The DW
online help mentions this.
I do not want to put dependent files.
However, I do not get the dialog box. (There was an option to permanently turn
off that dialog box, and apprently and unintentionally I checked it.) Thus,
when I click Put, I automatically and without recourse put all dependent files.
How do I get that dialog box back, how can I Put yet not put dependent files?
I tried Alt+clicking Put, Ctrl+clicking Put, and Ctrl+Alt+clicking Put to no
avail. As was guessed, am on the PC (WinXP) and don't have the Option button,
and Ctrl isn't doing it.
Regards,
Sean

It has been quite a while since I used that feature on the PC. I know that
it is Option-Put on the Mac. Did you try right click-Put? If you haven't
found an answer by the time I get back from the Apple UG Meeting, I will
pull it up on one of my PC's and find it. I just don't have time now. I'm
walking out the door.
Good luck.

Found it!!
Edit > Preferences > Site > Dependent files has a check box that enables the
dialog box I want when I click Put.
I am curious, if anyone knows, how I would have found this in the online help;
anyone know where to access that through the index or search?
Anyway, it's resolved. Thanks for the thoughts!!

Glad you found the solution.
I was under the impression that you were aware of this Preference from
reading your original post :-)
