Re: Limit on table or page size? Why DW4 crashing?

Sure: http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/stock_sched_072204.doc

It's the same document (contains only plain text, tabs & paragraph marks...)
but saved as a Word file.

FWIW, this one does not import for me (gives me garbage but does NOT crash the
program), don't know if it's supposed to (I always convert to text first, in
the past that's been the best strategy)......

Thanks ~ L.

Hi again Murray -- it occurs to me, maybe I'm taking the wrong overall tack.
My original document is an Excel spreadsheet. Is there a better way to get it
from Excel to DW4 table without a lot of computer gymnastics? (As previously
discussed, the export to plain text/"insert tabular data" strategy has worked
OK until now, but it's not exactly elegant.) Thanks!! Liza

See my previous message. I don't think you have many good options other
than the one I outline in that post.

I tried what you suggested and it crashes when I paste the second table!

Is there some phantom limit on page length?

Any other suggested workarounds?

Thanks Murray!

The only limit I am aware of is one of ~150K on importing a Word file.

Try smaller tables.
