"Google messes up the backlink results to avoid showing webmasters what it is
using. Their results are almost useless and in fact appear to be random at
times. They ARE hiding things intentionally to avoid people studying their
linking structure. Not only is the link command messed up, it appears to me
that they also intentionally restricting the number of results for a url search
(pages that contain the text "www.searchedforurl.com for example).

You'll learn far more by doing a link search at the new MSN engine or at Yahoo
than at at Google."

This new information seems to reinforce my previous findings.
