To fix the other gaps select the table and put "0" in cell pad and in cell space (on the propertys bar).

As a further clarification, if you are set to use HTML styles instead of CSS
styles (EDIT | Preferences > Use CSS instead of HTML styles) then the Ctrl-J
option will add the margin attributes as inline code in the body tag, which
is a deprecated usage. The preferred option in either case is the first one
(the stylesheet option).
