Re: F12 freezes IE |

I am previewing from my pc, using win98. If I already have an IE window open, pressing F12 results in an audible signal and then a 2nd window opens up!

Does DW freeze when you do that?

This might sound bizarre but I've found a very interesting fix.
It has to do with where on the toolbar the buttons for the different windows are.
Get button boogie (totally cool) here:
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,8080,00.asp .
Install it and even if you already have an IE window open (it has to NOT be viewing a DW temp page,
but MAY be viewing any other online or local page) when you hit F12 a new window will open.
It's an awesome little applet; read how they wrote it and you will be amazed.

That seems to have cracked it! Open another IE window then a DW page, and when you press F12, no freezing. Tried it twice, ten times in a row and no freezing.
Many thanks.

Yep - that's pretty much it. I doubt that button boogie has anything to do
with it.
