I didn't send it to that site--just to customer service/tech support. I can
verify that a cold restart of DW doesn't change anything. I've been working
with & nbsp; here, too, and that also seems to be the issue. It must be the
encoded characters thing.
I'll submit to the site you sent now. Thanks for all your help!

Just for your information, here is a reply to your last post from Al Sparber
(I reposted it on the PVII forum) -
The latest crop of assistive readers handle &entities; just fine.
Dreamweaver inserts them because that's what the standards call for. As
accessibility becomes more fashionable (that is, when guru sites run out
of CSS and Standards topics) the reality will cause a maelstrom. The
question of whether to support older readers is equivalent to the
question of supporting version 3 browsers - that's how behind the times
last year's crop of readers were. It's sad.
