PHP source formatting |
| message from macsym on 15 Jul 2004 |
Hi everybody,
I am using Dreamweaver to code in PHP but I have a problem with the "Apply
source formatting" function in the "commands" menu. Everytime I run the source
formatting, my entire PHP code is messed up. It doesn't format it in a clean
just like Flash can auto-format ActionScript code.
Do you know how I could get a nice source formatting with PHP?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Macsym

I've always found this function to be a bit of a roll of the dice. Sometimes
you like what you get... Sometimes you don't.
You might want to try selecting all you code then using Shift > Tab to move
all the code over so there is no indentation at all, then run source
formatting. This seems to produce the best results. Be sure to back up you
file first.
If this is no good, there's always the tried and true way... By hand, and
set Dreamweaver to leave your code alone.
