Pictures not uploading |
| message from littleme11 on 23 Jul 2004 |
I started a webpage http://www.asmile2remember.com. At first it allowed me to
upload pictures to my pages. However, within the past few days it has started
not allowing my to upload my pictures. An example of a page that it worked on
is http://www.asmile2remember.com/Nicholas.htm and an example of it not working
is http://www.asmile2remember.com/What%20a%20view.htm. For some reason since
I've been working on my new computer on this it gives me a hard time. Sometimes
I have to delete and reinsert a picture a few times to get it to show up.
Before this always worked, but for some reason on the last two pages I've
created it's not working. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. I've checked, and I'm not out of space. I try to upload
them, by clicking on 'put', and it looks like it's happening, but it just goes
really quick, and doesn't show that it's uploading the picture files, like it
does normally. How does one get to the f8 Site Manager window? Thanks again for
your help! I appreciate it!

You're going to feel pretty silly ... press the F8 key. ;-)

No, but double-pressing F4 might. ;-)

Ok, so I feel a little silly. lol. So I opened Dreamweaver, and hit f8, and when I did that the folder color changed from green to yellow, and it showed it. So does that mean it's been uploaded?

right-click on the thing, and pick "locate in remote site"
Or just click Connect and look for it.
if it isn't uploaded, click to select it and click Put

what is the url address to the page, and what is the filename(s) of the
missing images?
and- when you do select them in the site manager, and press the "put"
button, does any error message occur?
what's the FTP log window show as to what's going on?
(but url to the page also please)

the images for that second url are not on the server.
Have you uploaded them?
Find one of the missing ones in the f8 Site Manager window, right-click on
it and pick "locate on remote server" to see if it has been uploaded.
Random guess- the first url, some of the images are over 300k each.
Maybe you've run out of space??
It's really hard to guess because the host puts up a 404 block page when
trying to see if a directory or file exists.
