PDF Compression |
| message from Percival Prim on 16 Jul 2004 |
Is there a way to compress PDF's for the web other than Acrobat's own export
settings. I've got a PDF thats 250k - only one A4 page; im sure it could be
smaller than that.

I don't know too much about PDF files, except my experience has been that
they don't compress much with WinZip. The size of the page may be affected
by the extent of graphic content...

Acrobat 6.0 has a menu option under "File", called "Reduce File Size...". It
usually reduces the file size significantly. This is not available in the
free Acrobat Reader - only the purchased versions.

You could always use FlashPaper instead! 8)

Oh - LOL. I was referring to MM's FlashPaper replacement for PDF.

Replacement? I don't think so.... not ever.
Flashpaper and PDFs are about a "apples and oranges" as you can get, once
you get past the skin.
Cheers,
