Open up Preview in new browser window |
| message from Chris \(Hunt\) on 25 Jul 2004 |
Here's the situation. I have found some information on the web. I make
changes to a style sheet in Dreamweaver MX. I preview the changes and then
close the browser window. I do this by reflex and then discover that I've
closed the link to the webpage I was getting information from. I realise if
I kept the page open I could use the back button of the browser but I keep
forgetting. Can I make Dreamweaver MX preview in a new window rather than
taking over the existing one? This is really frustrating!
Thanks,
Chris (Hunt)

Strange.... my Dreamweaver Preview DOES open in new window. Not and
existing one. What OS are you on?
Cheers,
Sam

Mine does too. It ALWAYS opens a new browser window the first time I hit F12
on WinXP-Pro

You can check this:
1.- Open "Tools->"Internet Options.." and select the "Advanced" tab
2.- Find this option (it's in the "Browsing" section): "Reuse windows for
launching shortcuts"
Possibly, you have it checked. Try unchecking it.

Thanks Andres,
That was the problem. Never knew about that. I wonder what caused it to be
checked.
