Layers is not available. |
| message from .Adam Jones on 15 Jul 2004 |
I have used the DW new page option: "Page Designs (CSS)" and select the
"Halo Left Nav" and created a page. Everytime I try to make a new editable
region, I keep getting an error telling me that I have put it between <p>
and </p>. To get around this error, I was going to insert a new layer on
top of this page and make it editable, but the option is not available.
What am I doing wrong?
Is a new layer the solution I want?
Thanks,

Inserting your editable region between <p> and </p>. Really. Unless you
know what you are doing, this is not a good place to put an editable region.
Look at the code on the page. Place your cursor immediately BEFORE the <p>
tag, or immediately AFTER the </p> tag where you want to have the editable
region. Using INSERT | Template Objects > Editable Region. This will work
fine.
No. But are you in Layout mode? That's probably why you can't find the
option. Please exit Layout mode and never go back.

Generally, Layout mode will do more harm than good since the code that it
writes will come back to bite you later. You will be well rewarded by
spending an hour learning how to work with HTML tables from Standard mode,
