I just upgraded to the MX 2004 suite (you're welcome Macromedia)... now, is

If you got your sites, and your extensions migrated, then you can safely
remove DMX.
Probably not. Check your splash page when you restart DMX2004, and if it
says 7.0.1 then you are already updated.

Only thing to watch out for, if you're on Windows, is the uninstall will
remove some of your file types in Windows Explorer, so you'll have to
manually restore them.
